FC - FULL CONTROL - Unlimited
concrete vapor emission & alkalinity control. No upper limit on moisture
vapor emission.
LC - LIMITED CONTROL - Low emission control sealer for moisture.
Designed for low-risk treatment of new, but damp slabs.
PC - PERFORMANCE COATING
- Clear or color pigmented, high performance, moisture-proof floor
coatings.
SC - SINGLE
COMPONENT - Used for curing/sealing new concrete and for
bond-enhancement of replaceable floor systems.
1. Moisture Reduction
- A product must reduce a high volume of water vapor emission down to acceptable levels,
indefinitely.
Our products are laboratory tested following ASTM E-96
with
permeability reductions of 80% to 99% where required. Field tests following
ASTM F-1869 show reductions of 15 pounds to compliance with minimal application.
However, any vapor emission level can be effectively treated.
2. Bond Strength - A product must bond tenaciously to the concrete, since it has many years of work ahead of it. Our products all bond permanently with the mortar structure of the concrete. Pull tests following ASTM D-4541 result in cohesive substrate failure, meaning that the concrete will fail in strength before our products will release.
3. Chemical Resistance - Since concrete is alkaline by nature, a product must highly chemically resistant. Healthy bondable concrete surfaces often show a pH value of 12 or more, which is detrimental to floor covering adhesives which may not tolerate pH values over 9 typically. Our products interface this chemical incompatibility, and are resistant to pH values of 14.
4. Cross Linking - Because floors, coatings and/or cements will be bonded to it, a product must also allow them do to so easily. Our products are engineered to cross link with cement compounds within the first few hours of application. After curing, cements with primers, floor coverings or polymer coatings can be bonded directly with strong chemical cross linking.
5. Environmental and Occupational Safety - This should be at the top of our list, and yours. Our water reducible synthetic epoxy polymers are environmentally safe and California compliant. During installation, there is no concern for the material safety issues common to solvent based epoxy products and all of our Green systems can be applied safely in occupied buildings.
