Moisture Reduction
A product must
be able to reduce a high volume of water
vapor emission down to acceptable levels, indefinitely.
Field testing
on Vapor-Guard has shown typical post-test vapor rates of less than 1.5
pounds per 1,000 square feet in 24 hours.
Most slabs emit less than
12 pounds unless they are simply of poor quality, exposed to
a positive water source that may also present a structural
problem, or simply days old.
With independent lab
testing by
CTL Group,
we calculate a reduction of 82% when applied on a 24
hour old lab sample and 86% when applied on 28 day old
concrete.
Vapor-Guard can be
applied to reduce moisture to over 97%, if desired. The goal
however is to treat the problem according to the need, and
not to over or under treat it.
